Standard Dock Shelter Size for Container Trucks in Thailand
With the container floor set level with the dock by the dock leveler, a 3,400 × 3,400 mm shelter closes on the sides and roof of 20 ft, 40 ft and 40 ft high-cube containers.

Inflatable Dock Shelter
Air bags inflate against the truck from the top and both sides for an effective seal, then deflate after loading. Wheel guides and steel protective barriers are recommended.

Retractable Dock Shelter
High-strength PVC head and side curtains (3 mm) on a retractable galvanized steel frame with aluminum alloy profiles. The frame adapts to vehicle movement; yellow warning stripes improve visibility. Curtains and frame bolt together on site.

Sponge Dock Seal
Foam pads compress against the truck body for a thermally insulated seal at cold-storage bays. Spare space is required on the left / right columns for the cable drum and counterweight.

The OZ standard 3,400 × 3,400 mm dock shelter fits both, including 40 ft high-cube containers. With the container floor level with the dock, the 600 mm side curtains overlap the 2,438 mm container walls by about 119 mm each side, and the 1,000 mm top curtain covers the container roof (by about 191 mm for standard and 496 mm for high-cube).
What is the difference between an inflatable and a retractable dock shelter?
An inflatable shelter uses air bags that inflate against the truck from the top and both sides for the tightest seal and insulation. A retractable shelter uses PVC curtains on a flexible galvanized frame — simpler, with no power, and suitable for a wide range of trucks.
When should I choose a sponge dock seal?
Sponge dock seals compress foam pads against the truck body. They are the most economical insulated option and suit cold storage loading of box trucks and smaller vehicles. Four versions are available: fixed, with curtain, retractable up & down, and retractable in four directions.
Can dock shelters be made in custom sizes?
Yes. Width, height, depth and curtain or air bag lengths are made to order for 6-wheel and 10-wheel trucks, reefer trailers, raised or low docks and non-standard door openings.
What power does an inflatable dock shelter need?
380 V / 220 V, 0.55 kW, single or three phase, 50 Hz, for the air blower. It is operated from a dedicated control module.
Can a dock leveler be installed in an existing building?
Yes. Pit-type levelers need a concrete pit, which can be cut into an existing dock. Where a pit is not possible, the edge-of-dock leveler mounts on the dock face. OZ DOOR surveys the site before recommending a model.
How long does installation take and what is the warranty?
Installation typically takes 1–2 days per dock position once the pit is ready. OZ DOOR provides a 2-year warranty with local service in Thailand.
